WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests  Dec. 22 – Dec. 25 involving Warwick included charges for DUI and an arrest for parole violation on original charges of murder and possession of a controlled substance.

Here are the basics on those arrests:

East Ave. stop, DUI arrest At 1:11 a.m. Dec. 20, troopers arrested Panoompi Boonyoo, 29, of 14 Smith Street, West Warwick, RI for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs-First Offense, BAC .10-.15 (Phase I- .119, Phase II- .124).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, and arraigned By a Justice of the Peace, and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Missed court, DUI charge At 12:58 a.m. Dec. 22, troopers arrested Maiya R. Rotunno, 25, of 3524 West Shore Road, Apt. 214, Warwick RI for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on Dec. 10 on the original charge of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs-First Offense-BAC Unknown out of the Warwick Police Department. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Providence Street in the Town of West Warwick.

Rotunno was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Women’s Intake Center.

Parole violation, murder charge On Dec. 22, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Alfred Amoury, 46, of 40 Wayne St., Warwick, Rhode Island, on a Violation of Parole Warrant with original charges of Murder II and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Amoury was turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions Intake Service Center.
