WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests Oct 10. – Oct. 15 involving Warwick included charges for DUI, domestic and felony assault, disorderly conduct, and violating a no-contact order.

Here are the basics on those arrests:

Missed court At 11:49 p.m. Oct. 10, troopers arrested Paulo Nunes, 31, of 54 Exchange St., Apartment #32, Pawtucket, RI on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 South in Providence. Nunes was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute-Men’s Intake.

Traffic stop, DUI arrest At 11:33 p.m. Oct. 10, troopers arrested Devin Duprey, 29, of 11 Peach Tree Lane, Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense BAC Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Traffic stop, DUI arrest At 3:09 a.m. Oct. 11, troopers arrested Joshua Williams, 42, of 63 Windsor Park Drive Apartment 2T, Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense BAC Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and held overnight pending a morning arraignment by a Justice of the Peace.

Domestic assault At 3:50 p.m. Oct. 11, troopers arrested Owen Baker, 24, of 5931 E Colonial Drive, Orlando, Florida, for 1.) Domestic Disorderly Conduct, and 2.) Domestic Simple Assault.

The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to active domestic altercation on Rte. 95 North in the City of Warwick. Baker was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released.

Traffic stop, Domestic Assault Arrest At 10:30 p.m. Oct. 11, troopers arrested Samuel Kpanan, 30, of 174 Laurel Hill Ave., Apt. #2, Providence, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Simple Assault – 3rd Offense and Domestic Disorderly Conduct originating out of the Central Falls Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick.

Kpanan was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Central Falls Police Department.

No contact order violation At 1:30 a.m. Oct. 12, troopers arrested Owen Baker,  24, of 4 Drift Road, Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Violation of a No Contact Order. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment where he will be presented as a bail violator.

Disorderly conduct At 9:59 a.m., troopers arrested Nicholas Coleman, age 38, of 2215 Elmwood Ave, Apartment H1, Warwick, RI for Disorderly Conduct. This arrest was the result of troopers responding to a road rage incident on Route 37 West in the City of Cranston. The subject was transported to Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and transported to 3rd District Court for arraignment.

Wanted for domestic assault At 3:45 p.m., troopers arrested Ben Ramos, 40, of 331 Beach Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island, on an active Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Disorderly Conduct originating out of the Providence Police Department.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Branch Avenue in the City of Providence. The subject was then turned over to the Providence Police Department.

Wanted for felony assault On October 13, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Israel Rojas, age 38, of 55 Judith Street, Providence, Rhode Island, on the following: 1) Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment for Domestic Violence/Felony Assault originating from the Warwick Police Department; 2) Third District Court Warrant for Domestic Violence/Felony Assault originating from the Warwick Police Department; and 3) Sixth District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment for Obstruction originating from the Pawtucket Police Department. Mr. Rojas was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and transported to the Kent County Superior Courthouse.

Traffic stop, DUI arrest At 8:55 p.m. Oct. 14, troopers arrested Griford Saupin, 44, of 50 West Warwick Ave., West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving while Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs – First Offense – BAC Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and later released to a responsible adult.

Traffic stop, missed court arrest At 11 p.m. Oct. 14, troopers arrested Shawn Correia, 28, of 72 Harbour Ave. Apartment #3, West Warwick, Rhode Island on a Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the original charge of Breaking and Entering of a Dwelling originating out of the West Warwick Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on West Warwick Avenue in the Town of West Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Service Center.
