RI Trooper Log: DUI, Cocaine Possession, Eluding Police

The Rhode Island State Police are stationed in several barracks throughout RI. Each week Troopers make multiple RI arrests recorded in the RI Trooper log.

WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests from May 31 through June 3 involved charges forDUI, trespassing, eluding police and cocaine possession.

Here are the details of those arrests:

Rte.95 stop , DUI arrest At 7:59 p.m. May 31,troopers of the Traffic Safety Unit arrested Michael Domenech, age 35, of 229 Valley street, Apt. #1, Providence, RI for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxication Liquor and/or Drugs – BAC Unknown – 1st Offense, 2.) Possession of Marijuana – More than One Ounce – 1st Offense and 3.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – 1st Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Pawtucket. Domenech was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Rte. 95 stop, cocaine possession At 7:59 p.m. May 31, troopers of the Traffic Safety Unit arrested Jillian Zelano, 35, of 13 Conca St., North Providence, RI for 1.) Manufacturing/Delivery/Possession with Intent – Schedule I/II (Cocaine) and 2.) Weapons other than Firearms Prohibited.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Pawtucket. Zelano was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed and held overnight as a probation violator.

Providence trespassing arrest On Tuesday, June 2, at 3:30 a.m., troopers arrested Bryan Rivera-Tiru, 20, of 658 Kempton, New Bedford, Massachusetts for Willful Trespass. The arrest was the result of an investigation on Thayer Street in Providence.

Rivera-Tiru was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.

B&E call, car crash, two arrests On Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at 4 a.m., troopers arrested Martin Edgerton-Fry IV, 18, of 12 Dickens St., Providence, and Angel Reyes, 23,  also of 12 Dickens St., Providence.

Troopers charged Dickens with 1.) Reckless Driving/Eluding Police – 1st Offense, 2.) Two Counts – License or Permit Required for Carrying Pistol, 3.) Vandalism, 4.) Obstruction.

Troopers charged Reyes with 1.) Two Counts – License or Permit Required for Carrying Pistol, 2.) Vandalism, 3.) Obstruction and 4.) Resisting Arrest.

The arrests were the result of assisting the Providence Police Department with a possible breaking and entering and a subsequent motor vehicle crash. The subjects were transported to State Police Headquarters, processed and later arraigned at Sixth District Court.

Warwick man arrested for North Kingstown DUI, At 1:55 a.m., troopers arrested Scott Jackman, 51, of 3595 Post Road, Apartment #1630, Warwick, Rhode Island, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/ or Drugs – First Offense – B.A.C. Unknown and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – Second Offense.

The arrest was the result of an erratic operator spotted on Route 403 in the Town of North Kingstown. Jackman was transported to State Police Headquarters for processing, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
