WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests July 6- 10 involving Warwick spanned charges for domestic assault, missed hearings on DUI and shoplifting charges, DUI and Fentanyl possession.

Here are the details of those arrests:

Wanted for domestic assault On July 7 at 3:25 p.m., troopers arrested Frank Joseph, 54 of 271 Stillwater Drive, Warwick, RI for: 1) Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Domestic Simple Assault. 2) Violation of a Restraining Order originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Manton Avenue in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed and turned over to Providence Police Department.

Missed court on DUI charge On July 8 at 12:15 a.m., troopers from the Traffic Safety Unit arrested Roberto Sanchez, 46, of 3900 Post Road, Apartment #206, Warwick, Rhode Island, for an active Third District Court Hold Without Bail Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on the original charge of Driving Under the Influence originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the City of Providence. Sanchez was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing and later turned over to the ACI – Men’s Intake Center.

DUI, Fentanyl possession At 12:10 p.m. July 8, troopers arrested Melissa Charpentier, 57, of 2 Thomas St., Fall River, Massachusetts for 1.) Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V (Fentanyl), 2.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs – B.A.C. Unknown and 3.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was a result of troopers investigating a motor vehicle accident which occurred on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Charpentier was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Missed court, shoplifting charge At 1:08 a.m. July 9, troopers arrested Trevor Hedger, 28, of 300 Lambert Lind Highway Apartment #439, Warwick, Rhode Island on a 1.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the charge of Shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

Wanted for no contact violation At 1:23 a.m., troopers arrested Matthew Andrade, 31, of 52 Coggeshall St., Providence, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Violation of a No Contact Order out of the Newport Police Department.
