Editor’s note: The following RI arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests Aug. 22- 29 involving Warwick included traffic stops, crashes and calls resulting in several DUI arrests.

Here are the details of those arrests:

DUI stop, Rte. 295 At 10:26 pm., Aug. 26, troopers arrested P. David Bestwick, 56, of 85 Acres of Pine Road, Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – BAC Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 295 in the City of Warwick. Bestwick was transported to the Operation Blue Riptide B.A.T. Mobile where he was processed, and misdemeanor released into the custody of a responsible adult.

DUI stop, At 1 p.m., Aug. 26,  troopers arrested Emma Mastrangelo, 26, of 50 Murray St., Apt. #30, Coventry, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence – Blood Results Pending, 2.) Reckless Driving – Eluding – High-Speed Pursuit, 3.) Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle, 4.) Driving Without a License – 1st Offense, 5.) Kent County Superior Full Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on a Violation on the original charge of Felony Conspiracy out of the West Warwick Police Department, and 6.) Kent County Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing of a Violation on the original charge of Driving Without Consent originating out of the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a shoplifting investigation conducted by the Warwick Police Department, Troopers locating the vehicle, and subsequent motor vehicle pursuit.

Mastrangelo was later transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment.

Rte. 95 crash, DUI arrest At 11:54 p.m. Aug. 27, troopers arrested Anthony McNally, age 26, of 16 Farnum Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor – First Offense—B.A.C. Unknown, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a crash on Rte. 95 North in Warwick. McNally was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released to a responsible adult.

Missed court warrant At 4:24 p.m. Aug. 28, troopers arrested Michael Gomes, 35, of 254 Washington Street, Apartment #607, Providence, RI on a Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the charge of Pandering originating from the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

Callers alert Troopers to DUI arrest At 10:22 p.m., Aug. 28, troopers arrested Malissa A. Vazquez, 31, of 1963 River Avenue, Apt. # 3F, Bronx, New York for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – First Offense (Phase I: B.A.C .144 Phase II: B.A.C .143).

The arrest was the result of an E-911 call to the Wickford Barracks and the late patrols subsequently locating and stopping the suspect vehicle on Centerville Road in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI arrest At 11:18 p.m., troopers arrested Douglas M. Loiselle, 40, of 147 Vinton Ave., Cranston, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – First Offense 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
