RI Trooper Log: Court Scofflaws, DUI, Warrants, Shoplifting

Hope Valley Barracks: Missed court on suspended license charge

At 10:33 p.m., March 1, troopers arrested Matthew Cook, 22, of 51 Ottawa St., West Warwick, RI for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for the Ability to Pay on an original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in Warwick. Cook was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later released after being arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.

Lincoln Woods: Troopers arrest man on DUI charge on disabled vehicle call 

At 7:18 p.m. Feb. 28, troopers arrested Kyle Printer, 26, of 4 Teakwood Drive, Coventry, RI for 1. Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense (BAC 1st – .131, 2nd – .133) and 2.) Weapons other than Firearms Prohibited.

The arrest happened after troopers responded to a disabled motor vehicle on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Printer was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and later arraigned and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Wickford Barracks: Man arrested for missing court on suspended license charge 

On Friday, Feb. 27, at 8:36 p.m., troopers arrested David Carter, 43, of 104 Brinton Ave., Warwick, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving on a Suspended License originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Cranston. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of a Peace and released from custody.

At 12:53 a.m., Feb. 28, troopers arrested Jose Campos, 26, of 283 Manville Road Apartment #1, Woonsocket, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for the Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

Campos was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later arraigned by the Justice of the Peace.

Lincoln Woods Barracks: Vehicle stop leads to arrest on warrants

Feb. 27 At 11:15 a.m,.troopers arrested Luis Ariza, 21, of 71 Taft Ave., Providence, RI for a 1) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for the Ability to Pay on for the charge of Driving on a Suspended License originating out of the Providence Police Department and 2) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for the Ability to Pay on the charge of Driving on a Suspended License originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Providence. Ariza was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and then turned over to the Sixth District Court.

Lincoln Woods Barracks: Traffic stop turns up multiple warrants for driver 

At 9:39 a.m., Feb. 21, Saturday troopers arrested Nelson Byron, 24, of 4 Abe Court, Apt. 2, Providence, RI, for 1.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Violation Hearing on the original charge of Shoplifting from the Warwick Police Department; 2.) Newport County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Violation Hearing on the original charge of Larceny from the Portsmouth Police Department; 3.) Newport County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Domestic-Failure to Relinquish a Telephone from the Portsmouth Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Orms Street in the City of Providence. Byron was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and later turned over to Kent County Superior Court.

Scituate Barracks: Traffic stop reveals driver wanted on shoplifting warrant

At 1:40 a.m. Feb. 18, troopers arrested Francisco Recinos, age 23, of 95 Harold St. Providence for a 3rd District Court Warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on a misdemeanor shoplifting charge out of Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Valley Street in the City of Providence. Recinos was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and turned over to the ACI Intake Center.
