RI Trooper Log: Court Scofflaws, DUI, Cocaine Arrests

Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI arrests were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

Troopers arrest court scofflaw At  2:20 p.m. June 30, troopers arrested Manuel Rogowski, 32, of 110 Viero Lane, Apt. 116, Coventry, on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay on an original charge of misdemeanor Shoplifting, from the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Nooseneck Hill Road in West Greenwich.

Rogowski was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institute Men’s Intake Center.

Suspended license court scofflaw At 12:13 a.m. July 1, troopers arrested Wardell Lozada, 47, of 666 Chalkstone Ave., Providence, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on an original charge of Driving Without/Expired License out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Pleasant Valley Parkway in the City of Providence. Lozada was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed and taken to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Traffic stop nabs court scofflaw On June 30 at 4:40 p.m., troopers arrested James Defayette, 36, of 4 Wilmarth St., Taunton, MA, on a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Smithfield Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Defayette was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released after posting surety bail.

Erratic driver call yields DUI, drug arrest On June 30 at 11:20 p.m., troopers arrested Virginia A. Allen, 27, of 11 Harbor St., Jamestown for: 1.) Driving Under the Influence – B.A.C. Unknown; 2.) Driving After License was Suspended; 3.) Possession of Schedule II – Adderall; and 3.) Possession of Schedule III – Suboxone.

The arrest was result of a 911 call for an erratic operator. Troopers located Allen on East Avenue in the City of Warwick. He was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and released to the custody of a friend after arraignment by Justice of the Peace.

Troopers arrest man on local no contact violation On Wednesday, July 1 at 2:44 a.m., troopers arrested David Stridel, 26, of 21 Mowry St., Providence, for an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Violation of a No Contact Order originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Hawkins Street in the City of Providence.

Traffic stop results in DUI arrest On Thursday, July 2 at 2:05 a.m., troopers arrested William Cooney, 20, of 66 Birchwood Dr., North Kingstown, for 1.) Driving While Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs 1st Offense- B.A.C. Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test- 2nd Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick.

 

Traffic stop nabs court scofflaw At 10:11 a.m. July 2, troopers arrested Keisha Roldan, 21, of 35 Thackery St. Apt #2, Providence, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear Ability to Pay on the original charge of Shoplifting out of Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Roldan was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and later transported to Third District Court.

Troopers arrest man on assault warrant At 11:31 p.m. July 2, troopers arrested Jorge Velazquez, 19, of 44 Hilarity St., Providence, RI on an Attorney General’s Warrant for Assault.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Greenwich Avenue in Warwick. Velazquez was processed at the Wickford Barracks then transported to the ACI Intake Center.

Traffic stop nabs court scofflaw At 8:55 a.m. July 3, troopers arrested Lydia Camacho, 23, of 152 Wood St., Providence, on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay, on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the State Police Lincoln Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in Warwick. Camacho was transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed and transported to Third District Court.

Traffic stop results in cocaine bust At 12:17 a.m. July 3, troopers arrested Josue Hernandez, 23, of 261 Webster Ave., Providence, for Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V (Cocaine).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick. Hernandez was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed.
