RI Trooper Log: Arrests for Trespass, Assault, Possession, Fraud

Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI area arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK, RI —  State Police arrests in the RI Trooper Log between Oct. Nov. 19 and Nov. 24 in and involving Warwick involved several missed court hearings on charges ranging from a suspended license and trespass to assault and dealing narcotics.

State Police also arrested one man for fraudulent use of food stamp services.

Here are the details of those arrests:

Missed court on suspended license charge At 11:34 p.m., Nov. 18 troopers arrested Conner Lee, 22, of 63 Bellevue Ave., Warwick, RI for an active Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake.

Missed hearing on trespass charge At 1:38 p.m. Nov. 19, troopers arrested Christopher Gomes, 24, of 70 Linwood Ave., Providence, Rhode Island for an active Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Willful Trespass originating out of the Cranston Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men’s Intake Center.

Missed court on possession, dealing charge At 11:25 p.m. Nov. 19, troopers arrested Juan Cintron, 29, of 4 Young Ave., Apartment #1, Providence, Rhode Island on a 1.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the initial charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

Woman wanted for assault At 2:46 p.m. Nov. 20, Troopers arrested Alana Herrera, 21, of 63 Commodore St. 3rd Floor, Providence, Rhode Island for an active Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Simple Assault originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. Ms. Herrera was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution- Women’s Intake Center.

Food stamp fraud On Nov. 20, 2018, members of the Detective Bureau arrested Kevin Smith, 55, of 270 Douglas Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, for the following: 1.) Fraudulent Use of Food Stamps; and 2.) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses. Mr. Smith was arraigned in Sixth Division District Court before the Honorable Associate Judge J. Terrence Houlihan, where he entered a plea of nolo contendere. Mr. Smith received a year filing and was ordered to pay restitution.
