RI Trooper Log: Arrests for Missing Court on B&E, Receiving Stolen Goods Charges

Warwick, RI – State Police arrests involving residents and stops in and Warwick this week resulted in charges for missing court on a receiving stolen goods charge, a B&E charge and an arrest on a charge of obtaining money under false pretenses.

Troopers arrest man for failing to appear on receiving stolen goods charge At 10:40 a.m. Feb. 7, troopers arrested Jason Colon, 21, of 346 Farmington Ave., Cranston, RI on a 1.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the North Providence Police Department and 2.) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Receiving Stolen Goods Under $1,500 originating out of the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and transported to Third District Court.

Troopers arrest man for missing court on B&E charge At 5:33 p.m. Feb. 7, troopers arrested Joshua Rojas, 22, of 51 Hebert Ave., Woonsocket, RI, for a Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Breaking and Entering, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of the suspect turning themselves in at the Lincoln Woods Barracks. Rojas was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correction Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

Troopers arrest woman for obtaining money under false pretenses On Feb. 7, members of the Major Crimes Unit arrested Karissa M. Fleming-Desantis, 25, of 12 Maplewood Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, on the felony charge of Obtaining Money by False Pretenses / Over $1,500. Fleming-Desantis was processed at State Police Headquarters.

She was subsequently transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment, where she appeared before the Honorable Associate Judge Mary E. McCaffrey. No plea was entered, and Fleming-Desantis was released on $15,000 personal recognizance.

Man arrested for missing court on suspended license charge On Wednesday Feb. 8, at 11:12 p.m., troopers arrested Wayne Andrews Clements, 21, of 66 Corinth St. Apartment #1, Providence, RI for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions.
