Warwick, RI – Rhode Island State Police activity in and involving Warwick during the first week of the 2017 included the arrest of a man for indecent solicitation of a child, as well as four other arrests for forgery and check fraud, reckless driving, and missing court on assault and hit & run charges, respectively:
Troopers nab Pennsylvania man wanted for forgery, check fraud At 1:30 p.m. Jan. 1, troopers arrested Ryan Tripp, 22, of 508 Phippen Road, Wellsboro, PA on 1.) Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Disposition on the Original Charge of Forgery and Counterfeiting originating out of the Johnston Police Department and 2.) an Extraditable Warrant for Forgery of Checks – Theft of Funds originating out of the Pennsylvania State Police. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick.
Tripp was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed. Tripp was later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men’s Intake Center.
Troopers arrest Randolph man for reckless driving on Benefit Street At 7:58 a.m. Jan. 2, troopers arrested Vickens Pierre, 32, of 106 Pacella Park Drive, Randolph, MA for Reckless Driving.
The arrest was the result of a motor stop on Benefit Street in Warwick. Pierre was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned and later released.
Court scofflaw on assault, hit & run charges caught on Bald Hill Road On Wednesday Jan. 4, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., troopers arrested Gary Marley, 51, of 51 Cambridge Ave., Warwick, RI on 1.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing on the initial charge of Simple Assault originating out of the Warwick Police Department and 2.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on the initial charge of Leaving the Scene of an Accident – Damage to Property originating out of the Warwick Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in the City of Warwick. Marley was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to Third District Court.
Troopers arrest man, after chase ends in car crash at Winslow Park, for indecent solicitation RI State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force members investigating a Providence man for attempting to solicit a child for indecent purposes in the area of Airport Road chased and arrested him Thursday near Winslow Park.
