WARWICK, RI —State Police Warwick area-related arrests in the RI Trooper Log between Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 stemmed from traffic stops, turning up arrest warrants for firearm larceny and disorderly conduct.

Johnston man wanted for disorderly conduct At 6:50 a.m. Jan. 28 Troopers arrested Jean Hernandez, 23, of 58 Woodside Ave. West Warwick, RI for an Affidavit/Arrest Warrant for the original charge of Disorderly Conduct, originating out of the North Smithfield Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 295, in Johnston. Hernandez was transported to the State Police Headquarters, processed, and later turned over to the North Smithfield Police Department.
Traffic stop ends in arrest on firearm larceny charge At 3:17 p.m. Jan. 30, troopers arrested Jolan Smith, 26, of 722 Atwells Ave., Apt. 3, Providence, RI for: 1) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Larceny of a Firearm, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Atwells Avenue, in the City of Providence. Smith was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute -Men’s Intake.
