WARWICK, RI —  Arrests in the RI Trooper Log between April 30 and May 4 in, nearby and involving Warwick included arrests for DUI with a child in the car, receiving stolen goods, and hit and run.

Traffic stop ends in court scofflaw’s arrest At 6:15 p.m. April 30, troopers arrested Jonathan Williams, 34, of 90 Greenwood St., 1st Floor, Cranston, Rhode Island for a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the original charge Manufacturing/Delivery/Possession of Schedule I-V originating out of the Pawtucket Police Department.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Post Road in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and turned over the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

Troopers arrest man on warrant for receiving stolen goods On April 30, 2018, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Daryl B. Coon, 38, of 859 Victory Highway (Apt #214 ), West Greenwich, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Warwick Police Department for the following: 1.) Receiving Stolen Goods; and 2.) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses.

Coon was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing and turned over to members of the Warwick Police Department.

Warwick man arrested on hit & run warrant At 10:23 a.m. May 2, troopers arrested Jose Capo, 26, of 22 Warwick Neck Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant originating from the Providence Police Department for Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Personal Injuries and Driving with a Suspended License.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Archambault Avenue in the Town of West Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.

Driver arrested for DUI with child in car in Warwick, West Warwick

Troopers arrested a West Warwick man on charges of driving under the influence with a 20-month-old baby in the car May 2 at 9:10 p.m. after receiving reports of a car operating erratically in Cranston and Warwick.

The driver, Richard G. Rego, 38, of 16 Midway Drive, West Warwick, had a blood-alcohol level that was nearly twice the legal limit at the time. Rego was arrested on Linden Drive in West Warwick. He was charged with driving under the influence of liquor and/or drugs, first offense, BAC .15 or greater (Phase I .159% BAC; Phase II .157% BAC).

Troopers located the car shortly after the reports, in West Warwick, where they stopped the car on Linden Avenue and arrested Rego. He was taken to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was held overnight, pending arraignment in Third Division District Court later today. The infant was turned over to relatives and the state Department for Children, Youth and Families was notified.
