WARWICK, RI — The $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund is now accepting applications for direct RI restaurant relief, Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI) announced Monday.
The $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund was created by the American Rescue Plan Act, which Rep. Langevin helped pass last month.
“Rhode Island’s food service industry has had a tough year, but help is on its way,” said Rep. Langevin. “Thanks to the American Rescue Plan, Rhode Island’s restaurants and bars will now be eligible to apply for millions of dollars in relief to help keep their doors open and their workers on payroll. I was proud to help secure this vital funding, and I encourage all eligible businesses to apply as soon as possible.”
The Restaurant Revitalization Fund will distribute up to $10 million per business to restaurants, bars, and other eligible food service businesses to make up for their pandemic-related revenue losses. The relief does not have to be repaid, provided that the funds are put toward eligible uses by March 11, 2023.
