Editor’s note: The following RI arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

PROVIDENCE, RI — RI Trooper Log responded to several calls between Dec. 30 and Jan. 4, making RI arrests for possession of a stolen vehicle, DUI, felony assault, crack possession and breaking and entering.

Here are the basics on those RI arrests:

Forged plates, disorderly conduct At 10:51 a.m. Dec. 30, troopers arrested Paul Capron, 51, of 28 Pleasant St. Apartment #1, West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1) Disorderly Conduct, 2) Forgery and Counterfeiting of Registration Plates, and 3) Operating on Suspended License 3rd+ Offense.

The arrest was the result of a Motor Vehicle Stop on Archambault Avenue in West Warwick. Capron was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a future Third Division District Court date.

Battery, disorderly conduct At 12:35 p.m. Dec. 31, troopers arrested Christopher Frade, 52, of 494 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for 1.) Domestic – Simple and/or Battery, and 2.) Domestic – Disorderly Conduct (Fighting/Tumultuous Behavior) originating out of Scituate Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and troopers locating the subject at his residence. Frade was transported to State Police -Headquarters where he was processed, special arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released.

Rte. 146 stop, DUI At 12:58 a.m. Jan. 1, troopers arrested Angel Saldana, age 61, of 33 Priscilla Road, Woonsocket, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – .10 to .15 – First Offense (Phase I .156% and Phase II .140%).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 146 in the Town of Lincoln. The subject was transported to State Police – Headquarters where he was processed, special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to a responsible adult.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI At 10 p.m. Dec. 31, troopers arrested Scott Naisbitt, 37, of 5 Princeton St., Apartment #2, Newport, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs, BAC Unknown – First Offense, and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – Second Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 South in the City of Providence. Naisbitt was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed and held overnight pending arraignment.

Simple assault, disorderly conduct At 10:30 p.m. Dec. 31, troopers arrested Steven Scotti, 56, of 6 Zoar Street, North Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Simple Assault or Battery, and 2.) Disorderly Conduct – Fighting/Tumultuous Behavior.

The arrest was the result of troopers responding to the Cranston Street Armory for reports of an assault. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed and held overnight as a probation violator pending arraignment.

Reckless driving, DUI, illegal firearm, aggravated assault At 2:22 a.m. Jan. 1, troopers arrested Christian Charro, 25, of 83 High St., Apartment #1, Cumberland, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs, BAC Unknown – First Offense, 2.) Refusal to a Chemical Test – First Offense, 3.) License or Permit Required for Carrying a Pistol, 4.) Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons Prohibited, 5.) Carrying a Weapon While Under the Influence of Liquor or Drugs, 6.) Reckless Driving – Second Offense, and 7.) Fugitive from Justice from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for Aggravated Assault.

The arrest was the result of troopers responding to a motor vehicle accident on Rte. 95 in Providence.

Charro was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and held overnight as a bail violator and a Fugitive from Justice.

Felony assault & battery At 9:33 a.m., Jan. 1, troopers arrested Dianette Ellis, 56, of 344 Washington St., Apt #411, Providence, Rhode Island, for a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant, for Failure to Appear, on the original charge of Felony Assault and or Battery.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Hartford Avenue in Providence. Ellis was transported to State Police Headquarters where she was processed and later transported to the Women’s Adult Correctional Institution.

Obstruction, No Contact Violation At 1:37 p.m. Jan. 2, troopers arrested Steven Dimezza, 35, of 87 Crescent St., Providence, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for 1.) Obstruction, 2.) Violation of a No-Contact Order – Second Offense originating out of the State Police Detective Division.

The arrest was a result of a barracks investigation and the subject being located at the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center. Dimezza was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake center pending arraignment as a probation violator.

Controlled Substance, Felony Shoplifting At 10:45 p.m., Jan. 2, troopers arrested Angelica Hazard, 40, of 115 First Ave., Cranston, Rhode Island for 1.) Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance (Fentanyl, Clonazepam, Buprenorphine), 2.) Affidavit and Arrest warrant for Felony Shoplifting originating out of the Cranston Police Department, 3.) Providence Superior Full Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Shoplifting originating out of the North Smithfield Police Department, 4.) Kent County Superior Full Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Shoplifting originating out of the Coventry Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street in Providence. Hazard was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where she was processed and held overnight as a probation violator pending arraignment.

DUI, Rte. 10 At 1:30 a.m., troopers arrested Saul Mateo De Leon, 41, of 15 Magdalene St., Apt. #2, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving while Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – First Offense, BAC .15 or Greater (Phase I: .157 BAC / Phase II: .171 BAC).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 10 south in Cranston. Mateo De Leon was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Obstructing Officer At 3 a.m., troopers arrested Kassondra Benonisen, 24, of 235 Wood Ave., Woonsocket, Rhode Island for Affidavit and Arrest warrant for Obstructing an Officer in Execution of Duty originating out of the Woonsocket Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 North in the City of Providence. Benonisen was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Woonsocket Police Department.

Missed hearing, suspended license At 9:31 a.m. Jan. 3, troopers arrested Daniel Gabourel, 29 of 190 Nelson Street, Apt. #1, Providence, Rhode Island on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Driving with Suspended License, originating out of the North Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Stolen Vehicle, Missed Hearings At 9:34 a.m. Jan. 3, troopers arrested Jeremy Holcomb, 42, of 35 West Park Ave., Apt. #1, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle 2.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Driving with Suspended License, originating out of the Rhode Island State Police 3.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to a Appear on the original charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver, originating out of the Providence Police Department 4.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to a Appear on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule (I-V), originating out of the Providence Police Department 5.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to a Appear on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule (I-V), originating out of the Providence Police Department and 6.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to a Appear on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule (I-V), originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Branch Avenue in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Simple Assault, Protective Order Violation At 7 p.m. Jan. 3, troopers arrested Gregory Smith, 31, of 74 Macgill St., Apt. #2, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1.) Simple Assault, 2.) Disorderly Conduct, and 3.) Affidavit and Arrest warrant for Violation of Protective Order originating out of the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to Harrington Hall for a disturbance in Cranston. Smith was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Simple Assault, Disorderly Conduct At 7 p.m. Jan. 3, troopers arrested Thomas Gear, 47, of 30 Howard Ave., Apt. #4, Cranston, Rhode Island for 1.) Simple Assault, 2.) Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to Harrington Hall for a disturbance in the City of Cranston.

Gear was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released.

Disorderly Conduct, Obstruction At 11:20 p.m., troopers arrested Oliver King, 38, of 87 Diamond St, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Disorderly Conduct, and 2.) Obstructing an Officer in Execution of Duty. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 146 North in the Town of Lincoln.

King was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released.

Missed Court, Suspended License Charge At 8:32 a.m. Jan. 4, troopers arrested Adam Timpani, 42, of 85 Pine St., Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License, originating of the Cranston Police Department, and 2.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License-Third and Subsequent Offense originating of the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was a result of Troopers responding to 8 Howard Ave. in Cranston and taking the subject into custody. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Third District Court.

B&E Warrant At 8:53 a.m. Jan. 4, troopers arrested Rocco Ruggieri, 54, of 22 Stayton St., Cranston, RI for a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Unlawful Breaking and Entering of Dwelling originating out of the Pawtucket Police Department.

The arrest was a result of troopers investigating a motor vehicle accident on Rte. 6 in Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Providence Superior Court.

Crack Possession At 10:37p.m. Jan. 4, troopers arrested Felix Rosado, 46, of 272 Mechanic St., Apt #2, Southbridge, Massachusetts for 1.) Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance – Less than 10 Grams (Crack Cocaine), and 2.) Superior Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing on the original charge of Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance originating out of the Smithfield Police Department.

The arrest was a result of motor vehicle stop on Chad Brown Street in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and held overnight as a probation violator.

Obstruction Warrant At 10:20 p.m. Jan. 4, troopers arrested Jennifer Conway, 30, of 910 Atwells Ave., Apt #1, Providence, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty originating out of the Scituate Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and troopers locating the subject during a motor vehicle stop on Charles Street in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to State Police – Headquarters where she was processed and held overnight as a probation violator pending morning arraignment.

Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses On Jan. 4, 2023 at 2:21 p.m., troopers arrested Seth Matteson, 31, of 55 New London Turnpike Street, Richmond, Rhode Island for 1) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses – Under $1,500.00 2) Fraudulent Conversion by Agent or Factor.

The arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation conducted by Troopers with the subject subsequently responding to the Hope Valley Barracks. The subject was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a future Fourth Division District Court Felony Screening date.
