Warwick, RI – The Photographic Society of RI‘s 28th annual food and toy drive collected a table full of toys and food for RI Family Shelter in Warwick at Lakewood Baptist Church during the group’s annual banquet Tuesday.

Lincoln Smith, a member of the church and the Photographic Society of RI, brought the food and toys to be donated to the Crossroads Family Shelter in Warwick on Wednesday.

Smith has been collecting toys and food each year at Christmas at the 255 Atlantic Ave. church for the last 21 years.

The club’s annual banquet draws about 100 members, who are encouraged to bring food and toy donations for the drive. Members of Lakewood Baptist church donated gift wrap, bows and gift tags to go along with the toys.

Lincoln, 68 a Warwick resident, has been member of the church his whole life. His dad, also Lincoln, had been the pastor at Lakewood Baptist for 23 years before his retirement in1988.
