Warwick, RI- A 2013 Toyota Venza reported stolen in Portsmouth, RI was apparently left at a Marvin Street residence July 10, its doors and sunroof open.
Warwick Officer Brian Murray responded to the home July 14 at 9:29 a.m. after the resident of the home in front of which the car was parked reported the car had been there for a few days, according to his report.
The resident said he first noticed the car July 10 at about 8:30 a.m., noting he hadn’t seen it there the day before. Murray checked the vehicle, reporting that both front seats were reclined, and there were scuff marks on the passenger’s side.
Portsmouth Police asked for the vehicle to be towed to Warwick Police headquarters at 99 Veterans Memorial Highway for them to pick up. Joe’s towing moved the car to the Warwick Police Department, where it was stored in the garage for pickup.
