Warwick, RI – After two musical productions, Ocean State Theatre Company’s latest show, Dial M for Murder creates a unique situation for the latest in the venue’s Piano Bar series, “Music From Stage and Scream”.

“I’m very excited about this particular Piano Bar,” said Amiee Turner, Producing Artistic Director of Ocean State Theatre Company. “Since Dial M for Murder is a non-musical, it will be interesting to see who participates from the cast.”

That shouldn’t be much of a problem, Turner said, since one cast member is a skilled guitarist, one an accomplished vocalist and the other two have music in their background.

“I also love it when our technical and administrative staffs get involved, which happens more frequently when we’re producing a non-musical. I really can’t wait!” Turner said.

“Music From Stage and Scream” will be hosted by Mike Daniels, who played Snetsky in OSTC’s Inaugural Season production of Fools, and also appeared in Children’s Festival productions of How I Became a PirateThe Fabulous Fable Factory, and Schoolhouse Rock Live!

Musical accompaniment will be provided by Esther Zabinski, who music directed OSTC’s season opener, My Fair Lady.

The series will be offered to patrons following Friday and Saturday evening performances of Dial M for Murder on Nov. 7, 8, 14 and 15.  The  theatre’s lobby will be transformed into an intimate performance space, where patrons will be entertained by cast members, OSTC alumni, and staff members, while enjoying beverages and snacks, which will be available for purchase from the theatre’s lobby bar.

Attendance at the performance preceding the piano bar is not required. The lobby doors will open for the piano bar at 9:30 pm. The theatre is located at 1245 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, RI. Admission is free, but seating is limited, so reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling (401) 921-6800.

Tickets for all productions being presented as part of Ocean State Theatre Company’s 2014-15 Season are on sale at the box officeMonday through Friday from 12 noon – 6 p.m., Saturdays from noon – 4 p.m., and up until curtain on performance days.
