Warwick, RI – Three new locations under construction over the winter have taken shape, and two — LA Fitness on Rte. 2 and Cumberland Farms on Post Road — are open for business.
The third, CarMax, in the lot at 203 Bald Hill Road, once home to a series of ill-fated retailers including Building 19, Syms discount clothing, Zayre’s Department Store and Child World, isn’t open for customers yet, but the business is in the process of hiring 50 people.
If your morning commute takes you to Rte. 37 via Post Road, the finished Cumberland Farms near the intersection will make a convenient stop.
Fitness buffs seeking new digs to work out now have LA Fitness at 1500 Bald Hill Road now that the $2,310,000 interior rebuild and facade construction is finished. Inside, exercising patrons enjoy a fitness club complemented by a swimming pool and racquet ball courts.
