Legendary Rhode Island group John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band take the stage at Ocean State Theatre for a special one-night-only performance hosted by Catch a Rising Star on Saturday, Jan. 18, starting at 8 p.m.

‘Lockwood School’ painting at WMOA, 10 a.m.
Renowned local artist Karl R. Rittmann‘s Lockwood School painting is up for auction next week — here’s a chance to see it before it sells.
The estate of Mary Frances Brown previously owned the painting, and Briarbrook Auctions of East Greenwich is handling the sale, scheduled for Jan. 19. See what else is up for sale on this photo gallery posted by Briarbrook.
Rittman’s work will be on display at WMOA through Saturday, Jan. 17.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free admission and free parking.
