Warwick, RI — The city is seeking applicants for three job openings, including a sewer mechanic, a city clerk staff position, and a bus driver.
All three positions have a deadline of Thursday, Jan. 15 for applications.
According to the city’s employment opportunities page, the Warwick Sewer Authority has an opening for a Mechanic I, paying $16.73 to $21.19 per hour for the full-time position.
Duties include preventative maintenance and repairs of sewer lines and equipment and systems at the sewer plant, as well as filling in for electricians and painters as needed.
Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least three years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic, and have or be able to obtain a Rhode Island Commercial Driver’s License and Grade I Wastewater Operator license within a year of hire.
The City Clerk’s office is seeking a Records Control Clerk to work 25 hour per week at City Hall, with a pay rate of $15.39 to $19.42 per hour.
Included in the job description are handling land evidence and vital statistics records, maintaining a database for city boards and commissions, collecting and recording payments, and assisting the Warwick Municipal Court as needed.
A minimum of a high school diploma and six months to a year experience are required for applicants, as well as a typing speed of 35 wpm.
Warwick is also accepting applications for a Bus Driver position, paying $13.59 to $17.20 per hour for up to 19 hours a week.
The vehicle is a 16-passenger school bus, and applicants should have a Rhode Island CDL with Passenger Endorsement and experience using a wheelchair lift. CPR card and first aid training preferred.
