WARWICK, RI — The Greenwood Concert Choir is looking for new singers to join their ranks as they provide choral instruction and performance opportunities to adults 16 and older in the greater West Bay community, and you can sign up at their welcome night and first rehearsal Sept. 7 at at Greenwood Community Church, 805 Main Ave in Warwick.

Greenwood Concert Choir welcomes adults to sing for concerts, rehearsing on Wednesday evenings prior to their Christmas and Spring performances. Past performances have taken them to the Newport Mansions and other area venues.

Their staff  can work with singers of all backgrounds and experience levels, from professional musicians to those just starting to sing.

“Using the best choral repertoire from all styles and time periods, our rehearsal process is designed to instill confidence in our singers through powerful teaching methods, culminating in the best possible performance experience for the performers and audience,” the choir noted in a recent release.

WHO is eligible for membership? All adults (age 16 and older).
WHAT is required? Willingness to attend rehearsals and practice at home with rehearsal CDs (provided).
WHEN are rehearsals held? Selected Wednesday evenings from September to December and February to June.
WHAT performances are involved? Semi-annual concerts for the “Music at Greenwood” concert series and occasional performances at other prestigious venues.
