WARWICK, RI — RI Attorney General Peter F. Neronha’s office reports a Warwick man arrested in July and charged with child molestation of a 9-year-old between 2012 and 2016 has been indicted on 10 counts of child molestation and 8 counts of third-degree sexual assault.

On Sept. 30, the Statewide Grand Jury returned the indictment of Bruce MacNeil, 78, of Blue Hill Drive, Warwick.

Warwick Police arrested MacNeil July 15 on the charges following an investigation that started in Tennessee, where the victim now lives. According to Neronha’s office, the alleged acts occurred in Warwick on diverse dates sometime between Dec. 26, 2012 and July 31, 2016.

At the time of his arrest, MacNeil was a level III registered sex offender on probation for a previous 2015 Second Degree Child Molestation conviction.

MacNeil is scheduled to be arraigned on October 18, 2019 in Kent County Superior Court.
