PROVIDENCE, RI — On May 26, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Michael Elgar of Warwick with four counts of first-degree sexual assault.
According to RI Attorney General Peter Neronha’s office, the alleged acts occurred in Providence and Coventry on diverse dates between Jan. 1, 2014, and July 10, 2016.
The Providence and Coventry Police Departments conducted the investigations.
Elgar is scheduled to be arraigned on June 22, 2021, in Providence County Superior Court.
