Four Indicted in March 26 Murder of Michael Rogers

RIAGWarwick, RI — Two Warwick men are among four indicted June 15 by the Statewide Grand Jury on murder, assault and conspiracy charges in the murder of Michael Rogers March 26.

The Grand Jury reported an indictment charging Jared Rogers, 20, of 149 Haswell St., Warwick, Andrew Soben, 19, of 55 Cowesett Ave., West Warwick,  Josue Morillo, 19, of 71 Glenham St., Providence, and Jake Cabral, 19 of 27 Potomac Road, Warwick, each with one count of murder, one count of conspiracy to commit murder, one count of assault with the intent to commit murder, and one count of conspiracy to commit assault with the intent to commit murder.

Warwick Police allege that on or about March 26, 2016, Rogers, Soben, Morillo, and Cabral murdered Michael Rogers and assaulted David Rogers with the intent to murder him.

The alleged events took place in Warwick and the Warwick Police conducted the investigation.  All four defendants are currently being held without bail and are scheduled to be arraigned in Kent County Superior Court on June 24.
