Warwick, RI – When runners return for the Rocky Point 5K June 27, they’ll have CVS Health Charity Classic to thank, in part.

The Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday that CVS Health Charity Classic has joined the Rocky Point 5k Run & Walk as presenting sponsor.

“The Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce is pleased to have CVS Health Charity Classic join us as we help to enrich and enhance our local community. The Charity Classic is Rhode Island’s largest charitable sporting event and we are excited that we will be joining the all-star line-up of interactive activities they have created” noted Chamber President, Lauren Slocum.

Enjoy a scenic run or walk by Narragansett Bay through nostalgic Rocky Point. Registration starts at 8:30 am and the race starts at 10 am at Warwick Neck Elementary School. All proceeds are to benefit local non-profits. The 2015 primary recipients are A Wish Come True, Goodwill Industries of RI and RI Center for Law and Public Policy.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS PREFERRED and registrants may pick up their race number/chip on Friday June 26, 5-7pm. Register to be a part of this exciting experience online at www.RockyPoint5k.com. Volunteers are needed and they will receive a commemorative t-shirt for their participation. To register, click the volunteer tab.
