WARWICK, RI — Davis Michael McLarnon, 3, has been working on his recovery since June 26, when Hasbro Children’s Hospital doctors removed a malignant brain tumor, but it’s work he’s doing with community support, including two fundraisers.

Starting today, patrons of Proclamation Ale Company, 298 Kilvert St., Warwick, can put donations to help pay Davis’s family’s medical expenses into donation jars at the establishment. Then, on Saturday, March 31, the brewery will donate $1 from every sale to the cause.

Finally, on April 7, at 6 p.m., during the Mayor’s Cup hockey tournament between the Warwick Police and Warwick Firefighters at Thayer’s Arena, 975 Sandy Lane, Warwick (tickets are $5), proceeds, including funds raised by a Silent Auction and 50/50 raffle, will also be donated to the cause.

Meanwhile, a GoFundme Page set up to help raise money to pay Davis’s family medical expenses has reached $68,196 of its posted $75,000 goal.

“All we ask is that you keep our tough little boy Davis Michael and the McLarnon family in your thoughts and prayers as they face what comes next. This is a small way that we can show our love and support for Davis and the McLarnon Family. Thank you,” wrote Brenda Ann McLarnon, Davis’s aunt on the Gofundme page. McLarnon
