WARWICK, RI – Mayor Scott Avedisian helped serve lunches at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick Tuesday inside the organization’s air-conditioned facility on Oakland Beach Avenue, where camp activities were moved due to the day’s extreme heat.
Avedisian joined BGCW executive director Lara D’Antuono in handing out the day’s lunch choices, served by Aramark Food Services, including ham and cheese sandwiches or chicken salad.
“There’s a variety every day, including fresh fruit,” said Christine Barnes, Aramark Assistant Food Services director of the nutritious offerings. “We try to mix it up,”
