WARWICK, RI — Traffic through the Apponaug Four Corners Roundabout (Greenwich Ave./Post Road) will narrow starting Wednesday, RIDOT reports.

The agency advises motorists to expect narrowed lanes in the area for two weeks as stamped concrete crosswalks will be poured in halves, with traffic shifted to one side, allowing the concrete to properly set and cure. The work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Sept. 6, and will create delays. RIDOT advises drivers to plan alternate routes around the construction.

Additional ongoing traffic advisories in Warwick:

  • Rte. 2 North, from Rhode Island Mall to the I-295 overpass, center lane closed for bridge work through Fall 2017.

OVERNIGHT

  • Rte. 2 (Bald Hill Rd.) North and South, from #650 (On the Border restaurant) to the I-295 off-ramp, one lane closed for milling, Tuesday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Expect delays.
  • Airport Connector East and West under Metro Ctr. Blvd., one lane closed for bridge work, Tuesday-Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
