WPD Seeks Info on Seawall Fight

WARWICK, RI — Warwick Police are asking the public’s help as they investigate an Oakland Beach Seawall fight that injured three men Aug. 23 at 10:30 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the seawall for the report of an assault in progress that night. The disturbance involved multiple people fighting and possibly involved a golf club and a baseball bat.

Officers found several people on scene, including three men with injuries. Two were transported to Rhode Island Hospital, one  of whom has since been released. The third man was treated at the scene by Warwick Rescue/Fire personnel and responded to Kent County
Hospital on his own.

Warwick Police Detectives visited the scene and their investigation is ongoing.
