WARWICK, RI — The WPD Police log’s January 2024 Warwick arrests Jan.  1 – 31 included charges for DUI, Felony assault, shoplifting, domestic violence, larceny and illegal drug possession.

Warwick Police made 170 arrests in January 2024.

Below are the  basic details of specific  arrests, followed by the numbers of arrests for each charge. A full account of individuals arrested and dates of arrest for charges are available in the Warwick Police arrest log.

Felony assault

On Jan. 6, at 9:29 p.m., Warwick Police arrested John M. Elliott, 35, of 156 Bethany Lane, North Kingstown, charging him with felony assault and/or batter and disorderly conduct.

Larceny

On Jan. 17, at 5:53 p.m., Warwick Police arrested John Paul Dansereau, 57 of 11 Julia Way, Johnston, RI, charging him with larceny less than $1,500.

On Jan. 25, at 11:35, Warwick Police arrested Daniel J. Decosta, 42, of 21 Sweetbriar Drive, Cranston, RI, charging him with larceny less than $1,500.

On Jan. 31, Warwick Police arrested Heidy A. Ramos Linares, 28, of 42 Hauxhurst St., Providence, RI,  charging him with larceny less than $1,500.

January Warwick Police arrests by charge:

DUI – 31

Felony assault – 1

Larceny – 3

Shoplifting – 16

Domestic violence – 16
