WARWICK, RI — WPD August 2024 Warwick arrests included charges for DUI, larceny, domestic violence, felony assault, illegal fireworks, sending minors indecent material and indecent exposure.

Warwick Police made 182 arrests during this period, according to Warwick Police records. Below are the  basic details of specific arrests, followed by the numbers of arrests for each charge.

 

August Warwick Arrests Details

Impersonating a public officer, cyberstalking, domestic violence: On Aug. 4 at 11:35 p.m., Warwick Police arrested Jonathan T. O’Brien, charging him with impersonation of a public officer and cyberstalking/cyberharrassment that occurred July 1, as well as domestic violence and violation of a no-contact order occurring Aug. 4.

He was released on a $5,000 surety bond on the domestic violence charge, and $1,000 surety on the cyberstalking and impersonation charges.

Sending minor Indecent material On Aug. 8, at 7:02 a.m., Warwick Police arrested Justin S. Lomastro, 23, of 19 Dayton Court, North Kingstown, charging him with electronically disseminating indecent material to minors.

Lomastro was found incompetent in Third Division District Court and released on $5,000 personal recognizance, conditioned on a no-contact order with the victim and a competency hearing, scheduled for March 6, 2025.

Felony assault: On Aug. 21 at 4;35 p.m. Warwick Police arrested Kalyb A. Sangas, 20, of 26 Beaver Ave., Warwick, RI, charging them with felony assault. Sangas was arraigned in Third Division District Court the next day and released on a $1,000 surety bond. He is scheduled for a court screening on the charge Nov. 25.

Indecent exposure On Aug. 28 at 1:49 p.m., Warwick Police arrested Aaron F. Turner, 30, with no permanent address, charging him with indecent exposure. He is scheduled for arraignment on the charge on Sept. 19, 2024.
