WARWICK, RI — Sometime Tuesday night, an unidentified Warwick City Park vandal drove a vehicle through about a dozen sections of    wood fencing and a soccer net, possibly damaging the fields.

Warwick City Park, located near 185 Asylum Road, a 126-acre park, is home to Buttonwoods Beach, three baseball fields, picnic areas and shelters, three miles of paved bicycle paths, and toilet facilities.

“Close to a dozen sections of wooden fence were destroyed along with a soccer net. It’s unknown at this time if the grass fields were compromised due to the snow,” Warwick Police wrote on their Facebook page in their request for the public’s help finding the vandal.

“We are asking for the public’s help in identifying the vehicle and/ or individual(s) responsible. Information may be left either anonymously on the Tip Line at (401) 732-8477 or by contacting Det. Kyle Palmer at (401) 468-4253,” Warwick Police wrote.
