WPD Asks for Help Finding Missing Man With Disabilities as Snowstorm Nears

UPDATE – March 10, 3:46 p.m.  Warwick Police report they have found Schenck, safe, in Smithfield.

WARWICK, RI —  Warwick Police are looking for William Schenck, 36,  5′ 9″, 200 lbs, who has medical disabilities and was last seen at 8 a.m. carrying backpack and wearing blue jeans and a blue sweatshirt with a hood.

Schenck suffers from numerous medical disabilities which would place him in danger if not located, police report. The storm forecast for tonight and tomorrow has increased the urgency of the police department’s search.

The missing man left his home in Buttonwoods on foot and does not have a cell phone. He may be en route to Providence or Woonsocket, police report.
