WARWICK, RI — Warwick Police have arrested a 26-year-old man in the Oakland Beach stabbing of his housemate, a 60-year-old woman, who was treated at RI Hospital for multiple stab wounds.
The woman’s injuries, while serious, were not life-threatening, according to police.
Derek A Daluz, 26, of Mohawk Avenue, was charged with one count of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon in a dwelling house and held for arraignment.
Warwick Police were called to the home at 8:30 a.m. this morning for a reported stabbing. Officers found the woman, who had suffered multiple stab wounds from an edged weapon, according to Warwick Police. The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.
