Warwick’s Most Wanted: Masked Man Rips Off Phone Store

WARWICK, RI – In today’s Warwick’s Most Wanted, Warwick Police are seeking information on an April 17 incident where a man wearing a ski mask stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the Buy Cell Fix store at 643 East Ave.

According to the Rhode Island Most Wanted website, the man entered the store just before noon, while an employee was repairing a phone in the back room. Surveillance cameras recorded the man ” running toward the cash register and taking a large amount of cash from a drawer under the register,” the website reported.

The man then fled the store in a gray or silver 2007 to 2010 Volkswagen Passat station wagon, which he had parked on a nearby side street.

Warwick Police reported the man was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans, reflective ski goggles, gloves, and a skull mask.
