Warwick, RI — A Warwick man is serving a seven-year jail term for the September, 2013 robbery of a local Citizens Bank.
Robert Bailey, 31, was subject of a Rhode Island Most Wanted alert showing him inside the bank at 300 Quaker Lane on Sept. 26. Warwick Police arrested Bailey on Sept. 29 and charged him with second-degree robbery and simple assault on a police officer.
Police reported that Bailey cased the bank branch before going inside and presenting a note demanding money.
Judge Walter Stone sentenced Bailey to 15 years in prison, with seven to serve, on the Warwick charges. He will also serve a total of nine years probation and a nine-year suspended sentence for the robbery and assault charges.
