Warwick Weekend: Food Trucks, Comedy Fundraiser, Dancing

WARWICK, RI — The Warwick Weekend lineup starts tonight with food trucks at Crowne Plaza and a wine and paint night at Apponaug Brewery, followed by a Holliman comedy fundraiser Friday.

Saturday is a busy one, with an Apponaug Village yard sale, Brayton cemetery scavenger hunt and wrapping with a Barn Dance at the Warwick Center for the Arts.

 Warwick Food Truck Night PVD Food Truck Events hosts music and food trucks of several culinary persuasions at Crowne Plaza tonight at 5 p.m.

Paint and Sip, Apponaug Brewery Visit Apponaug Brewing Co. and enjoy decorating a pair of summer glassware while you enjoy the company of friends and local refreshments. Registration required at the link.

Warwick Weekend Friday:

Goddard Park Farmer’s Market Every Friday through Columbus Day Weekend, RI Grown, DEM’s farmer’s market program, hosts farmer’s market at Goddard Park selling delicious and freshly-harvested local foods direct from the farm to your dinner table.

Roger Williams Food Truck FridaysThe Carousel campus at Roger Wiliams Park Zoo has a lot of open space and rolling hills shaded by trees, the perfect spot to grab dinner from a food truck and listen to music and entertainment during the park’s Food Truck Fridays event. If you miss this one, don’t worry. They’re going on every Friday till the fall.

Holliman Elementary 5th Grade Fundraiser The Holliman 5th grade committee is hosting a Funny 4 Funds 18+ comedy event at the Knights of Columbus, 475 Sandy Lane.  All funds raised will go toward our end of year activities for the 5th graders.

Warwick Weekend Saturday:

WCFA Community Barn Dance Bring your family, friends or just yourself to our community barn dance for an evening of fun! No fancy footwork needed to attend, just come, enjoy the friendly camaraderie, dance to live music. There are NO restrictions or mask requirements in order to attend! We often switch partners after every dance so there is no need to bring a partner, and no experience is needed to have a fantastic time.

Pontiac Village Yard Sale Pontiac Village will be hosting a community yard sale on Saturday starting at 8 a.m.

Brayton Cemetery Scavenger Hunt Join the Warwick Historical Cemetery Commission at 1 p.m. as you stroll around this beautiful historic cemetery learning about some of the folks buried there and what the symbolism means on headstones.
