WARWICK, RI — This Warwick Weekend events roundup boasts free turkeys, a final look at the RI Open, and grand opening celebrations Saturday.

The weather for this week’s Warwick Weekend events packs a rainy Friday and Saturday in the high 40s, then mostly sunny skies with high temps in the low 50s Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Warwick Weekend Events Friday:

Norwood branch Library Building Club: Join other kids to create with Legos and Manga-tiles every Friday afternoon at the Norwood Branch.

WCFA  Annual RI Open: Final weekend WCFA’s latest juried exhibition, the 38th Annual RI Open is open Friday and Saturday, Nov. 23, before closing down. This collection of work, curated by juror Victoria Guerina, surveys the rich and diverse community of artists working in and around Rhode Island. This show features a wide array of artistic mediums and styles, including: drawings, painting, sculpture, assemblage, jewelry, photography, digital art, and ceramics, realism, abstraction, and everything in between.

The exhibit shows at the WCFA gallery, 3259 Post Rd, Warwick, RI 02886. The  gallery  is open from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.  Admission is free.

Boys & Girls Club Turkey Express – The Boys & Girls Club of Warwick’s Turkey Express offers first-come, first-served turkeys to registered participants (See poster at top of article.)

Limited quantities must be picked up Saturday, 11/23 between 12-2  p.m. First come-first served, one per family.

 Hard Knocks Boxing Gym Grand Opening – Hard knocks youth boxing gym of Warwick will celebrate its grand opening  Saturday at  1:30 p.m., with a ribbon cutting with Mayor Frank Picozzi. The gym, launched by Harvey Emery, whose son, Rocco, winner of the Silver Gloves New England, attended Hard-Knocks Boxing Club in West Greenwich.
Honey Ham Grand Opening – Honey Baked Ham celebrates its Grand Opening at 300 Quaker Lane Saturday morning.

At 11 a.m., the store will reward its first 50 guests in line with Free HoneyBaked Sandwiches for a year, in the form of 12 free sandwich coupons, valid only at HoneyBaked Ham of Warwick at 300 Quaker Ln, West Warwick, RI 02893. Limit to one winner per household.. Throughout the celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the store will also raffle off a free Honey Baked Ham or Turkey for one guest every 30 minutes. (Limit one entry per celebrant. Raffle winners will be announced every 30 minutes during the following times: 11:30 a.m., 12 p.m., 12:30 p.m., 1 p.m.)

Additionally, the community is invited to enjoy product sampling, spin the HoneyBaked prize wheel to win branded merchandise and 20% off their purchase for the entire day. At noon, McGwire will be joined by  Mayor Frank J. Picozzi,  along with the Warwick Fire Department and other local dignitaries for a ribbon cutting ceremony.
