WARWICK, RI — This week’s Warwick Weekend events offer improv comedy, an emerging artists’ show, a fundraising meat raffle and a weekend of roleplaying games and fun.
The Warwick Weekend events weather forecast portends temps in reaching the high 40s Friday with possible rain, sun and high of 38 degrees Saturday, then a mostly cloudy day and a high of 39 as told by the National Weather Service.

WCFA exhibit: New Voices WCFA’s newest exhibition, “New Voices: The Next Generation of Rhode Island Artists” is now on view until Feb. 15 This group show, curated by esteemed gallerist and fine art specialist Michael Rose, will showcase a diverse collection of work by emerging artists from around the Ocean State. The exhibit shows at the WCFA gallery, 3259 Post Rd, Warwick, RI 02886. The gallery is open from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Admission is free. Join us for the opening potluck/BYOB reception, February 6 from 6-8pm.

Bring Your Own Improv, WCFA Bring Your Own Improv is back for family friendly live performances every Friday at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets are $11.63. If you’re looking for something fun to do late on a Friday night in Warwick, they’ve got you covered. Their Caffeinated Insomniacs Comedy show – designed for teens and adults – is the place to be at 10 p.m. Their show welcomes voluntary audience participation. You can participate in one of three ways: applaud for a scene you like, yell out fantastic suggestions, or if you feel you’re ready, jump up and get involved
Captain Con CaptainCon is an annual tabletop gaming convention held in Warwick, Rhode Island, organized by New England Privateers, LLC. The upcoming event is scheduled for Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick.
The convention offers a diverse range of activities for gaming enthusiasts, including: board games, miniatures games, role playing games, contests, shopping and socializing.

Meat Raffle Benefit Enjoy four tables loaded with meats and gifts and try your luck with a 50/50 raffle, all to benefit Rosemary’s Wish Kids. Rosemary’s Wish Kids, Inc. grants wishes to children and young adults age 3 thru 21 who medically qualify with a life-threatening illness living in Rhode Island and areas of Southeastern Mass.
The event, open to the public, his hosted Feb. 1, Saturday, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Warwick Elks Lodge, 1915 West Shore Road, Warwick RI.
