The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at the Roger Williams Park Zoo is back this year through Oct. 31. This year’s event is sponsored by Citizens and takes you through the greatest music of the last 150 years while enjoying the thousands of intricately carved pumpkins on display. All tickets must be purchased online. The trail is open 6-10:30 p.m. (the last entry is 10 p.m.) Roger Williams Park Zoo, 1000 Elmwood Ave., Providence.

Bring Your Own Improv is back for family friendly live performances every Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door only. Fire Safety Day Open House

Join the Warwick Fire Department and city of Warwick for the annual Fire Safety Day Open House today rain or shine. Pizza and refreshments will be served. Safety Day events include: the Jaws of Life heavy-duty rescue demo, a Warwick Police Department bike safety demonstration/K-9 Unit, tours of the fire safety trailer and the fire and rescue trucks will be displayed. Plus, there will be guest appearances by officers Friendly and McGruff. Conimicut Children Pumpkin Spooktacular

Don’t miss the Conimicut Children Pumpkin Spooktacular featuring games, treats, a scavenger hunt and of course pumpkins! Pumpkins will be displayed in Donovan Park.  Everyone is encouraged to carve a pumpkin for display. Carved pumpkins should be dropped off at the Friendsway parking area between the hours of 2:30-5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23. Pumpkins can be picked up at 8 p.m. following the event. If it rains the Spooktacular will be held in the parish hall of St. Benedict’s Church on Beach Ave in Warwick. 6-8 p.m., 765 W Shore Road, Warwick.
