WARWICK, RI — This Warwick Weekend boasts educators’ art, a meeting with WPD’s K-9 ambassador, and an adult field trip to a flower farm capped by a winery visit, complete with coupon.

The weather forecast for this Warwick Weekend includes an unfortunate but likely impact from Hurricane Lee along coastal Rhode Island starting late Friday and lasting into Saturday night. The National Weather service advises preparing now by securing objects in your yard and taking precautions if you are in a flood prone area. Monitor their website and your news for updates on the storm’s path and effects.

“Lee will bring rough surf and possible storm surge flooding, damaging winds, and bands of heavy rain to at least coastal areas of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.”

Otherwise, it’s expected to be cloudy and breezy Friday and Saturday, with a chance of rain increasing to 40% Saturday, and clear skies Sunday. Temps will range in the low 70s till Sunday, when they’re expected to rise to 78 degrees.

Do you have a community, non-profit or fundraising event you’d like to see included in an upcoming Warwick Weekend?FIRST, enter it into our self-serve calendar, THEN, alert [email protected].
