Warwick, RI — Work on Exit 8 off I-95 continues this week, ahead of the original schedule set for replacement of the Barton Corner Bridge.
In an email update, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation announced that southbound traffic on I-95 is scheduled for a switch to the northbound bridge beginning after 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 25.
Route 2 is also scheduled for closure for demolition of the southbound part of the bridge starting Monday night at 10 and finishing Tuesday morning at 6.
The on-ramp from Route 2 North to I-95 South remains closed, as does half of the ramp for Exit 8 off I-95 South.
