WARWICK, RI — Rhode Island Lottery reports a number of recent winners as the holidays tee up, including a lucky Warwick Powerball winner who won $50,000 at a local convenience store.

The Nov. 11, Powerball® drawing was an exciting moment for the woman, who asked not to be identified. She did share the news with her family, though, before claiming the prize. She said she couldn’t believe how close she was to winning the jackpot.

The latest Warwick lottery winner purchased the winning Quick Pick at Speedway, 61 Airport Rd., Warwick, and plans to use her winnings to pay bills.

In Johnston, another $50,000 prize was claimed by a man who also declined to give his name. He played the “Super Crossword” Instant Game at Quick Fuel, 1601 Hartford Ave., Johnston, and plans to use the money towards home improvements.

Finally, a woman from Tiverton won $18,000 playing Keno Plus at Rusty’s, 44 Wave Ave., Middletown. There has been lots of buzz amongst the regulars there about who could’ve won.  The winner plans to put the money towards a septic system.
