Warwick Police Log, March 16 – 23: Arrests for DUI, Assault, Conspiracy

WARWICK, RI — In the latest installment of the WPD log , Warwick Police made 50 arrests between March 16 and March 23, including 10 for DUI, two for shoplifting, four arrests on simple assault charges, and one for rape.

A sample of those arrests follows:

• On March 16, 7:48 p.m., at 2687 West Shore Road, Warwick, RI, officers arrested Eric A. Ferrara, 36, of 19 Flanders St., Johnston, RI, on charges of DUI, first offense, blood alcohol unknown, and narcotics possession.

• On March 17, 10:29 p.m., at 2401 West Shore Road, Warwick, RI officers arrested Abby Maccarone, 19, of 25 Sweet Meadow Drive, Warwick, on a charge of DUI, first offense, blood alcohol unknown.

• On March 17, 10:31 p.m., at 29 Harding Ave., Warwick, RI officers arrested Brian H. Carpenter, 62, of 44 Fairhaven Ave., Warwick, on a charge of DUI, first offense, blood alcohol unknown.

• On March 18, 10:54 p.m., at 1125 West Shore Road, Warwick officers arrested Michael E. Bassett, 42, of 263 Park Ave., Warwick, RI on  a charge of DUI, blood alcohol unknown,

• On March 18, 12:50 a.m., on 95 North, Warwick officers arrested Linnea J. Totusek, 342 Dyer Ave., Apt. 1, Cranston, RI, on a charge of DUI, blood alcohol unknown.

• On March 18, 4:25 a.m., at 898 Oakland Beach near the sea wall, Warwick officers arrested Juanito Avant, 30, of 128 Dante St., Providence, RI, on a charge of DUI, blood alcohol unknown.

• On March 18, 9:22 p.m., at 1196 West Shore Road, Warwick officers arrested Steven R Huestis, 49, of 1030 West Shore Road, Warwick, on a charge of DUI, first offense, blood alcohol .15 or greater. He was also cited for lane violations.

• On March 19, 2: 43 a.m., at 1112 Post Road, Warwick officers arrested Michael Okunfolami, 29, of 172 Massachusetts Ave., Providence, RI, on a charge of DUI, first offense, blood alcohol unknown. He was also cited for refusing a breath test, and charged with carrying a weapon while intoxicated, and weapon violations.

• On March 19, 2:35 a.m., at 1123 Bald Hill Road, near Haxton’s Liquors, Warwick officers arrested Steven Michael McLintock, 22, of 82 Sycamore St., Swansea, MA, on a charge of DUI, first offense, .15 or greater.

• On March 19, 3:47 a.m., on Rte. 37 west, Warwick officers arrested Evin Rivard, 25, of 86 Sisson St., Apt. 12, Providence, RI, on a charge of DUI, blood alcohol unknown, carrying a weapon while intoxicated and weapon violations.

• On March 19, 4:37 p.m., at Residence Inn, 500 Kilvert St., Warwick officers arrested Baboucar Saine, 30, of 504 Broadway, Apt. 2Left, Providence, RI, on a charge of first degree sexual assault/rape.
