Warwick Man Identified in Garden City Clothing Thefts

Kevin Wulff, 46, of Warwick, is suspected of shoplifting from a Garden City store twice in January.

WARWICK, RI — Cranston Police have identified a Warwick man suspected of stealing clothes from a store at Garden City on two occasions in January, in a case reported on the Rhode Island Most Wanted website.

According to police reports, surveillance cameras recorded Kevin Wulff, 46, taking an estimated $3,900 in clothing from the store on Jan. 26 and 31, according to Cranston Police.

In the first case, police allege Wulff took 18 sweaters valued at $900; in the second, police say he removed 27 items from a display table at the front of the store and within 10 to 15 seconds walked out without paying for the clothes.

At the time of the thefts, Wulff was serving three years’ probation stemming from a felony theft charge brought by Providence Police, and five year’s probation from separate charges of possessing a stolen vehicle and leading police on a high speed pursuit brought by East Providence Police. He had served five months at the Adult Correctional Institutions, Cranston, in the Providence case and nine months for the East Providence charges.

The Rhode Island court website had not posted information about court hearings related to the Garden City theft case by the publication of this article.
