WARWICK, RI — Warwick arrests in the RI Trooper Log Nov. 10. 17 involved charges for missing court hearings, DUI and an unregistered sex offender.

Missed court, shoplifting charges At 11:40 a.m. Nov. 12, troopers arrested Jessica Gianfrancesco, 35, of 128 Garden St., Apt #2, Cranston, Rhode Island for
1.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing on the original charge of Shoplifting, originating out of the Warwick Police Department,
2.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing on the original charge of Shoplifting, originating out of the Warwick Police Department,
3.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing on the original charge of Shoplifting, originating out of the Warwick Police Department,
4.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Shoplifting, originating out of the Pawtucket Police Department, and,
5.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-trail Conference on the original charge of Shoplifting, originating out of the Cranston Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Admiral Street, in the City of Providence. Gianfrancesco was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women’s Intake Center.
DUI, Centerville Road At 11:40 p.m. Nov. 15, troopers arrested Robert Laska, 71, of 34 Landmark Road, Warwick, Rhode Island for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs- 1st Offense- B.A.C. .10 to .15.
The arrest took place as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Centerville Road in the City of Warwick. Laska was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.
Missed court, forgery, felony theft At 11:43 a.m. Nov. 16, troopers arrested Thomas Kirwin, 41, of 30 Jordan Ave., Cranston, Rhode Island on 1.) Providence County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on Violation on the original charge of Forgery and Counterfeiting, originating out of the Providence Police Department, 2.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on Violation on the original charge of Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses and Grand Theft >$1,500-Felony, originating out of the Warwick Police Department, and 3.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Filed / Technical Violation on the original charge of Unlawful Breaking and Entering, originating out of the West Warwick Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Elmwood Avenue, in Cranston. Kirwin was processed at Wickford Barracks and transported to Superior Court.
Rte. 95 South DUI At 12:39 a.m. Nov. 17, troopers Rodney McCaughey, 47, of 95 Tampa St., West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs B.A.C. Unknown- 1st Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.
The arrest took place as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the City of Warwick. McCaughey was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and later released to the custody of a responsible adult.
Sex offender, failed to register On Nov. 17, at about 6 a.m., members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Brian Hanley, 33, of 29 Spectacle Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of Warwick Police Department for a charge of Registered Sex Offender Failure to Register.
Hanley was taken into custody without incident, transported directly to Warwick Police Department, where he was processed. He was ultimately transported to Kent County Courthouse for his arraignment. This arrest was the result of an investigation by the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force.
