WARWICK, RI — Officer Kyle Fitzsimmons noticed a 2018 Subaru Legacy parked at the Radisson Hotel, 2081 Post Road, belonging to a man wanted in North Providence on April 13, and arrested him, discovering methamphetamine in his car.
Fitzsimmons had noticed the car parked at the hotel for several days, but this time the owner, Brian Boisvert, 31, of 18 Potter Drive, Bellingham, MA, was in the vehicle as he was attempting to jump start it with another man, also driving a Subaru Legacy.
Fitzsimmons spoke with the men, identified Boisvert, and asked him to wait while he checked the car’s registration. The officer called other officers to assist, and arrested Boisvert on the warrant when they arrived.
Upon a search of Boisvert’s car, Fitzsimmons found an envelope containing several plastic bags with a total of 63.5 grams of methamphetamine in them.
Fitzsimmons transported Boisvert to Warwick Police Headquarters, 99 Veterans Memorial Drive, where the officer charged him with manufacture with intent to deliver a schedule I-V drug, methamphetamine.
