Warwick, RI — City offices are closed Friday through the Sunday, March 27, the deadline to deadline to register to vote in the 2016 Presidential primaries in RI April 26, but Warwick residents can still register with a completed form in a drop box at Warwick Police Headquarters between now the end of the weekend.

In order to register, you must be at least 18 years old by Nov. 4, 2016, a resident of Rhode Island and a U.S. citizen. Registering for the primary will also set you up for the Nov. 4 election.

You can either fill out one of the blank forms left at the drop box, or download the form from the RI Secretary of State’s website, fill it out at home, and drop it in the box at the Warwick Police Department, 99 Veterans Memorial Drive.

You will be able to register to vote, do an address change or name change with this form. The deadline to change your party affiliation has already passed. Voters can easily check their voter registration status by using the Department of State’s Voter Information Center.

Although the deadline falls on Sunday, every city and town has made arrangements for residents to register or change their address at the last minute, according to Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea’s office.

Below is a list of locations and times where residents can register to vote. Voters who have moved or changed their names since they last voted should update their information by March 27 in order to avoid difficulties on primary day.
