WARWICK, R.I. — Mayor Scott Avedisian, Col. Stephen M. McCartney and members of the Board of Public Safety presideD over a police promotional ceremony Dec. 20 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at Warwick City Hall to recognize the promotion of six officers.
The Warwick Police Department honored three officers’ advancement to detective rank and the promotion of a detective to sergeant Tuesday night at the community room inside Warwick Police Headquarters at 99 Veterans Memorial Drive.
The Warwick Police department presented 19 special awards and swore in eight officers Wednesday night at City Hall in City Council Chambers, including Christine A. Kelley, the first woman promoted to Major in the department.
