The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the area starting at 4 p.m. this afternoon and lasting till 7 p.m., during which sleet and freezing rain are expected to make getting home from work a hazardous affair.
This morning’s commute is a treacherous one for many Rhode Islanders dealing with the first snow of the 2015-2016 winter, with several spinouts and crashes reported across the state and in Warwick on state highways.
